Pharmacognosist and philanthropist Dr Jackson approached us to create a short infomercial to introduce consumers to his brand of natural cosmetics and tell the story of how his company came to be.
We turned to good old-fashioned pen and paper to lay the groundwork for defining the look of this film. After finding the style we felt best suited the brand, we created all of the artwork digitally using vectors. Along with the elegant form and minimal colour palette, we opted for a pared back moving picture book effect, rather than slick character animation.
We are because they are.
Distilling down the history of the Dr and his back story was no mean feat, but we think that the end result is a stylish and subtle solution, which communicates the brand’s values and warms the heart.
